2025 Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl Moves To Ford Center At The Star in Frisco, Texas
Game set for December 23 at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN
FRISCO, Texas (Aug. 28, 2025) – The 2025 Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl will kick off from a new stage this year, as the game moves to the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco on Tuesday, December 23 at 8 p.m. CT. Fans nationwide can watch the game live on ESPN.
With renovations underway at Toyota Stadium, the bowl game is staying true to its roots in Frisco by partnering with The Star, one of the premier football destinations in the country. The move ensures that fans, players, and coaches will enjoy a first-class, climate-controlled experience for one of college football’s most exciting postseason traditions.
“This partnership allows us to keep the game here in Frisco while also elevating the experience for fans and student-athletes alike,” said Sean Johnson, Executive Director of the Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl. “From the players competing to the fans celebrating the holidays with postseason football, hosting the game at the Ford Center during December is a win for everyone involved.”
The 2025 edition of the Frisco Bowl will showcase teams from the American Conference, Conference USA, Mid-American Conference, Mountain West Conference, or Sun Belt Conference.
The Frisco Bowl is one of 17 postseason college football games owned and operated by ESPN Events, and has quickly become a launchpad for future NFL talent.

- Since 2020, 132 players who competed in the Frisco Bowl have gone on to be drafted or signed as NFL free agents.
- From this year’s draft class, 30 players from the Frisco Bowl signed with NFL teams.
- Since its debut in 2014, the game has averaged a combined 8 points per contest, making it the second-highest scoring bowl in college football.
- In last year’s matchup, Memphis of the American Conference claimed its third straight bowl win with a thrilling 42-37 victory over West Virginia from the Big 12 Conference.
About the Frisco Bowl
The Frisco Bowl is an annual NCAA-sanctioned postseason Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) college football game played in Frisco, Texas. Owned and operated by ESPN Events, the game originated in 2014 as the Miami Beach Bowl before moving to Frisco in 2017.
