Princeton Joins The Field For 2017 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic

 

Princeton (23-7) will replace Utah State (14-17) in the 2017 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu. The Tigers are the 2017 Ivy League regular season and tournament Champions. Princeton is the tournament’s second Ivy League team to participate; Harvard took second place in the 2015 tournament, falling to Oklahoma in the championship game.

The 2017 edition of the classic now features five teams that participated in the 2017 NCAA Championship: Miami, Middle Tennessee, New Mexico State, Princeton and USC. Akron competed in 2017 National Invitation Tournament (NIT).
