Princeton learning experience
Princeton 94, Portland 67 – Princeton jumped out to a 14-5 lead and never looked back in easily winning the Myrtle Beach Invitational seventh-place game. The Tigers led 52-29 at halftime and built their advantage to as many as 40 points in the second half.
The game got so out-of-hand that the Tigers played mainly their backup players for much of the second half. Forward CJ Happy led the way with 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting.
“It was nice to get a win like that,” Princeton coach Mitch Henderson said. “We learned so much about ourselves here. This was an informative few days for us. I’m excited about what we’ve learned from being in this terrific, really well-run tournament.” HENDERSON POST-GAME – https://youtu.be/walRInRb0UY?si=crUEFWbkGLyehQ6J
