Rogers and Pohto combine for 53 points in Wichita State’s 90-69 victory over Saint Louis

CONWAY, S.C. (Nov. 19, 2023) – Colby Rogers scored 30 points on 12-of-19 shooting and Kenny Pohto had 23 points and 12 rebounds as Wichita State closed out the 2023 Myrtle Beach Invitational with a 90-69 victory over Saint Louis.

The Shockers dominated the boards, outrebounding SLU 50-30 and allowing only five offensive rebounds. As a result, the Billikens managed just two second-chance points (to 14 for Wichita).

After Wichita built a 44-30 halftime lead, Saint Louis closed the gap to 70-62 with still seven minutes remaining. The Shockers responded by ripping off 12 consecutive points in less than four minutes to put the game away.

Terrence Hargrove Jr. led SLU with 21 points on 8-of-16 shooting, but the rest of the team was only 15-of-49 from the field (30.6 percent).
