What is the NIT Season Tip-Off?
Formed in 1985 as a complement to the postseason National Invitation Tournament, the NIT Season Tip-Off is one of the longest-running early season college basketball tournaments in the nation. After an initial run in Manhattan, the event’s championship round made its way across the East River to Barclays Center starting with the 2015 tournament. Starting in 2024, the event will be played at Walt Disney World Resort, while keeping its tie to Thanksgiving weekend.
Where is it played?
All games will be played at State Farm Field House, located on the campus of ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World Resort The 2024 event will take place on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday – November 28 & 29.
