Tickets for the 2014 State Farm Champions Classic will go on sale Monday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m. ET. The fourth annual neutral-site men’s doubleheader – to be played Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis – features preseason-ranked No. 18 Michigan State vs. No. 2 Duke at 7 p.m., followed by No. 10 Kansas vs. No. 1 Kentucky at 9 p.m., as the culminating event of the College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.
Kentucky played for the NCAA national title in 2014, while Michigan State was an Elite Eight participant. Both Duke and Kansas advanced to the second round of the national tournament.
Ticket prices range from $47 to $252 and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com, by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000 or by visiting the Bankers Life Fieldhouse box office (open Mon.-Sat. from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., hours may vary on event days).
The State Farm Champions Classic features:
- Three of the top four all-time winningest men’s college basketball programs: Kentucky (first), Kansas (second) and Duke (fourth).
- A combined 17 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championships (since 1939): Kentucky (eight), Duke (four), Kansas (three) and Michigan State (two).
- A total of 25 NCAA Final Four appearances in the past 22 years: Duke (seven), Michigan State (six), Kansas (six) and Kentucky (six).
- Four of ESPN.com’s top six current coaches: No. 2 John Calipari (Kentucky), No. 3 Mike Krzyzewski (Duke), No. 4 Tom Izzo (MSU) and No. 6 Bill Self (Kansas).
