#1 Duke Defeats #2 Michigan State, #4 Kansas Holds Off #7 Kentucky At 2017 State Farm Champions Classic
Duke defeated Michigan State 88-81 behind 37 points from Grayson Allen in the 2nd #1 vs. #2 matchup in the seven year history of the State Farm Champions Classic. In the nightcap, #4 Kansas pulled away from #7 Kentucky in the final minute to win 65-61.
It was the 4th time in 7 years that the #1 ranked team in the AP poll played in the State Farm Champions Classic. At least 3 of the 4 participating teams have been ranked in Top 12 in all seven years.
